Senior Pastor Jim Schulz

Jim Schulz grew up in a minister’s home and knew from a very early age that he would one day be in the ministry himself. In 1966, he met Linda Coovert at Glad Tidings Assembly of God (Muncie, Indiana) while visiting during the summer before his senior year of Bible college. They were married in August of the following year (1967 – a year filled with many letters and phone calls).

Jim and Linda pastored in Punta Gorda, Florida for the two years following their wedding, after which time the Lord led them into Alaskan missions. They have ministered the good news of the Gospel to Alaskans in both “Old” and “New” Minto, Nenana, Kotlik, and Kotzebue before moving to Anchorage and beginning work that would reach several areas of the state simultaneously.

Currently, in addition to pastoring Crossroads Assembly of God, Jim and Linda also have a summer outreach to the villages Yukon Delta directing Camp Agaiutim Nune (affectionately known by workers and campers alike as “Camp A.N.”). Linda handles a statewide, year-round Bible correspondence program that reaches into villages, jails, and prisons.

The Schulzes have two daughters, Kimberly and Stacia, who have grown up in Alaska. Kim graduated from the University of Alaska with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations. She lives on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula with her husband, Aaron, and their three sons. Stacia graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Technology. She lives in Missouri with her husband, Kevin, and their two sons.

Jim and Linda Schulz’s passion is to see people reached with the saving power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
